Shetland Bus - Special Naval Unit Captured whilst navigating the "Sjo" between the mainland of Norway and the Island of Maaloy. They were taken to a prison in Bergen and believed sent to Germany. Their names never appeared on German records after they left. We must presume that they were executed by the Gestapo and their bodies disposed of. |

Shetland Bus - Special Naval Unit Whilst returning from Norway the "Bergholm" was attacked by 2 German seaplanes. Most of the crew were wounded and Vika died of his wounds. Buried at sea from the lifeboat as they rowed towards Norway. |
