Small Operations Group

The Small Operations Group consisted of:-

  • 3 Groups of SBS (Army)
  • 4 C.O.P.P. Parties
  • 4 S.R.U. Sea Recce Units
  • Detachment 385 - Royal Marine Commando Assault Troops
It should be noted that the 2nd. in Command of SOG was Lt. Col. H.G. 'Blondie' Haslar of "Cockleshell Heroes" fame.
